Getting to Njiani River Camp

The Camp sits 21km west of Moshi town with the last 10km on dirt road. We are off-grid, solar powered and have very few neighbours.

Do not rely on Google Maps for precise route directions, particularly the back roads from Moshi town — it will route you onto impassable roads. We recommend using the directions below instead via the Moshi - Arusha Road.

From Moshi

Take the Moshi–Arusha Road and at approximately the 10km mark turn left onto dirt road.

The turn is signposted.

From Arusha

Follow the Arusha–Moshi Road past the Panone Petrol Station at Machame.

The Njiani River Camp turn is approximately 300m after the petrol station on your right on to dirt road (signposted)

On the Dirt Road

Follow Njiani River Camp signs at all key turns, the next sign is after approx. 8km

Seasonal Access - Njiani River Camp is open June through to the end of February, we close March through to May during rainy season.
